Standing engagement
businesses · ventures · teams · by arrangement
Defined days inside your work, on a standing cadence, for as long as it earns its place.
Some work is a capability an organisation is still growing into. It arrives by somebody being in the room on a regular day, repeatedly, until the thing runs and the people around it hold it themselves.
What that looks like: a fixed number of days a week or a month, agreed in advance, with the work inside them decided as it goes. Systems get built, the people who will hold them get taught to hold them, and the decisions that want someone who has seen the whole board get made while the board is still visible.
It suits an organisation that has felt the shape of a gap and wants it named — where the symptom shows up as everything taking longer than it should.

In practice: a set number of days a week or a month, agreed up front, with what happens inside them worked out as we go. Things get built, the people who will look after them get taught how, and the big calls get made while there is still time to make them.

Two days of it before anything is agreed for longer. Long enough for us both to see whether the fit is real, short enough that a wrong answer costs little.
